Hey!
My name is Dakota. I'm a director of photography based in the growing city of Detroit. After studying advertising design at the College for Creative Studies, I spent some time as a senior art director before transitioning to cinematography. It was there that I discovered my true passion was to be behind the camera, where I could craft visual narratives and shape light to bring stories to life.
Having a background in design, I approach cinematography with the same level of artistry. Shaping the frame instead of just capturing it. For me, inspiration comes from a diverse array of media, embracing both contemporary and timeless sources. I have a genuine love for collaboration, as it brings together diverse pespectives and talents to create an even better project.
